Flexible heaters generate heat through either electricity or a chemical reaction. Flexible products are commonly used for unfavorable conditions and irregular shaped conductive heating applications.
Types of Flexible Heaters:
Polyimide heaters - are utilized in various industries due to their unique properties. They are ideal for applications requiring low outgassing in a vacuum, or resistance to radiation, fungus and chemicals. These heaters offer accurate temperature control; their versatility, high temperature capability as well as their flexibility make them suitable for many industries that require efficient, customizable heating solutions.
Silicone rubber heaters - are known for their chemical resistant properties. They are rugged, thin, lightweight and of course flexible. Silicone rubber heaters improve heat transfer, speed warmups, and decrease wattage requirements. They can have either an etched foil or wire wound heating elements. The heater construction allows it to fit applications where space is limited.
Polyester wire heaters - commonly found in heated blankets. They are ideal for wet / damp environments because of their waterproof compartments. These heaters are used to heat large areas very economically. They are designed and fabricated for many types of configurations to fit the size and shape required in your application. They cover large areas with even heat for flat or gently curved surfaces.
