Infrared Process Control Imaging System

The sidewinder process control monitoring system is a light-duty system in the Viper series of infrared process control imaging systems produced by Infrared Cameras Inc. Thermal IR technology passively interprets thermal energy and generates representative images. These images are displayed on a video monitor for day/night, all-weather surveillance and scene assessment. As the Sidewinder is a thermal IR system, the presence, or absence, of visual light has no effect on image content or quality. The Viper systems are designed to monitor your facility or operation when all other technologies are blinded by darkness or fog.

The Sidewinder is an environmentally tight package (NEMA 9) designed for harsh weather infrared surveillance and is made to excel in low profile, small footprint installations. Models can be configured as fixed system configurations enabling them to be mounted on various height towers, tripods, wall brackets and custom hard mounts.

Versatile Configurations

The Sidewinder is designed with an integral micro-processor based pan and tilt unit and can be configured as either the "Standard" package or the "Dual Camera" package.

Viper Sidewinder System Specifications

The base component of the Sidewinder is a long-wavelength 320 x 240 Amorphous Silicon microbolometer infrared camera. This technology is state of the art in camera design eliminating the requirement for cooling and operates with no moving parts.This state of the art technology results in the highest reliability and longest life possible for the camera unit.

The Sidewinder Pan and Tilt

A pan and tilt unit has an integrated very low visual and spatial impact ideal for those applications where discreet installations are desirable. The Pan and Tilt is a microprocessor based "smart" unit that can be controlled via joystick or computer software allowing for precise speed and placement of the sensor(s) by the user. control protocol employs the industry standard Pelco D.
